Software Support Analyst - London. My Client is a major Global Financial company. They are looking for a Software Support Analyst to be the first point of contact for user queries relating to their in house IT system that supports the Oil trading business you will be able to handle user queries regarding internal systems, offer advice to users on how to resolve their queries, To investigate potential system errors, summarise findings and pass on to the relevant team to investigate further / fix. To monitor, coordinate, and communicate progress on the resolution of issues. Identify recurring training needs / system issues and flag to the relevant team, to manage user access rights, to perform the role of junior systems analyst for small projects and manage the process through to implementation Minimum Experience/Knowledge/Skills (Competencies): Key Skills: General understanding / knowledge of IT systems General understanding / knowledge of the commodity trading business Logical approach Willingness to learn Personal time management Soft skills: Written and verbal communication Initiative Problem Solving Teamwork Technical Skills: Basic SQL (selects and joins, data table structures) Academic Background: Educated to degree level IT / Maths / Business degree subject Maths A-Level (A or B grade) |
