Solution Applications Architect with MS Exchange server design architect role for major Public sector client. Able to go through Security Clearance criteria for BC or SC level clerance. Assess requirements for application architecture changes identify techniques & technologies that should be applied at the application level; define the system and operational requirements. Identify, analyze and address any inter-application dependencies & interfaces. Yout will work with other Architects and Service Delivery Managers, to determine the application blueprint for performance and scalability. You will participate in planning sessions and anticipate future business/technology changes. Communicate implications of architectural decisions, issues and plans to business and technology leadership. Primary Responsibilities:-
Acts as a subject matter expert in application architecture strategy,
Contributes technically to the development of applications,
Conducts audit or review of Architecture & Standards with Service Provider,
Approves application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts, Recommends new technologies and leads the development of new IT standards and processes,
Oversees and approves creation and maintenance of application and system documentation used in design, testing or programming efforts,
Assist in creation of Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
Knowledge and Skills of enterprise level application design/architecture
•Thorough understanding of application analysis, development, implementation, and support
•Proven ability to guide technical strategies
•Mature development practices know how (CMM-lv3, RUP, etc.)
•Expert level knowledge of UML (sequence diagrams, class diagrams, state transition diagrams, activity diagrams, etc.)
•Demonstrated understanding of fundamental technologies: Operating System/Networking, Middleware, Security, Databases, etc.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all technical and non-technical members of the organization
•Extensive understanding of IT best practices, IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL.
•Required to undergo and maintain an enhanced level of security clearance
•The role will report directly into the Technical Team Manager and will join a team of x3 Architects, Developers and Testers.
Technical Skills required:- Responsible for co-coordinating the definition of the solution approach of one or more programs in line with the agreed business and technical strategy -

*Relational database design (SQL Server)
*Object-orientated development

The successful candidate should demonstrate knowledge of object oriented analysis and design and possess the following :
*Proven record of producing enterprise wide solutions designs across complex interacting applications.
*Work with the TDA and Development teams to drive application design and integration.
*Knowledge of business entity data modeling liaising with business analysts to refine designs. *Knowledge with systems integration methods and technologies.
* System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best practices of quality management.
*Produce High Level and detailed design documentation. |
