Here at Evolution we believe in doing our bit to help those less fortunate than ourselves. We actively encourage our team members to take part in charity activities and to incentivise them Evolution have pledged to double any money which is raised for charity. Our teams have taken part in a number of charity events over the past year both in the office and externally with this extra support really helping them make the difference.
We have received a fantastic level of support from everyone involved and we would like to thank everyone who has donated to help us. Even through the tight economic times in the UK we have found that people are still willing to put their hands in their pockets for a good cause.
Some of the good causes which Evolution have supported in the last year include:
Movember
|
During November, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on men’s faces across the UK and around the world. The aim is to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and other cancers which affect men.
At Evolution a huge number of the team took part in the annual facial hair disaster. From Goatees to Mutton chops to Magnum PI moustaches there were a number of the team wearing facial hair in aid of charity. Click on the picture for our Flickr album.
Total raised for Movember- £780- doubled by Evolution to £1560!

Children in Need
|
BBC Children in Need is the BBC's UK corporate charity. They aim to make a real difference to the lives of children all across the UK.
To help out, the Evolution team took part in a dress down day in November. With a minimum expectation of a £5 donation and many individuals giving much more, we managed a fantastic total for the charity.
Total raised for Children in Need from donations - £520 + Evolution are adding to this figure.

The Genesis Breast Cancer prevention appeal
The Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Appeal ultimately aims to make breast cancer preventable for everyone. Breast cancer is still one of the most devastating health problems of our time, destroying the lives of thousands of women and their families across the world every year.
In October 2011 the team at Evolution took part in a dress down with a minimum contribution of £5.00. The Evolution management team also pledged to match any monies raised.
Total raised for Genesis - £600 - doubled by Evolution to £1200! |

MegaHike
|
MedEquip4Kids work with medical staff, community nurses and other registered charities to provide equipment and improve facilities in hospitals. Their policy is to fund items known to improve the care provided to children, but not readily available within the NHS' limited budgets.
Team Members Nick Elliott, Pete Moore, Simon Watts and Stuart Quinney undertook the gruelling challenge of their 50 mile 24hr hike over the Penine Way known as the MegaHike! The extremely wet conditions made for an even tougher day than would be normal. The guys didn't just beat it, they set a new course record! Well done! Click on the picture for our Flickr album.
Total raised for MedEquip4Kids - £2305 - doubled by Evolution to £4610!
