The Role Forecasting and Lifing are important capabilities of the Maintenance Management Sector, and this role will be highly influential in defining and promoting the vision, gaining stakeholder buy-in and helping to develop the product and service strategies and offerings within these capabilities. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Engineering and work closely with both customers and the MM sector management team to secure the role of thought leadership within this domain. This will involve maintaining a competitive understanding of the technologies involved, leading innovation for higher value delivery, and engaging with both internal and external agencies where necessary to develop technologies or access technology funding opportunities. The role also requires a broad understanding of all product and service capabilities in order to promote synergies, and an acute business awareness within target market industries to be able to identify opportunities and help define their value as enhancements to products and services.
The Person The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline and have significant knowledge of equipment maintenance management or a related discipline. They will also have strong problem solving skills, deal with ambiguity, be a good facilitator and be able to communicate clearly at all levels.

Subcontractor Programme Manager (Software Development) Midlands

Exciting opportunity for a talented Programme Manager to lead my client's subcontract management strategy and delivery of outsourced work within their new Maintenance Management product segment. The Maintenance Management team is responsible for designing, developing and implementing innovative software products which help our customers create optimal financial and operational plans for their Service business; and manage their assets with EAM products.

Key accountabilities for this role include:
• Identifying and procuring services from software outsourcing suppliers.
• Develop and implement the Maintenance Management outsourcing strategy.
• Manage long term strategic supplier relationships including strategic selection, alignment and on-going QCD management.
• Direct activities across all subcontract work packages in the WBS of MM projects.
• Establish and maintain robust a portfolio of delivery controls, initiating corrective action, as appropriate, to ensure that subcontracted work package deliverables are produced on time, within budget, and to the agreed specification.
• Lead contracting and negotiation of subcontracted work packages ensuring commercially sound principles are employed and risks fully flowed down to suppliers.
• Input to the product strategy of the Maintenance Management business segment.

Key Technical Competencies are:
• Procurement skills
• Knowledge of developing and implementing outsource strategies in the software development space.
• Project Management of significant subcontract software development work packages.
• knowledge of constructing and negotiating commercial subcontracts in the software development space.
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of managing programme/project financial performance.
