Novell to Microsoft Windows 7 Migration Technical Training Consultant

Our client a training organisation specialising in business change are recruiting a Technical Training Consultant with knowledge of Windows products to deliver training to 2nd & 3rd line support staff for a migration project that will see the company migrate from Novell to Windows technologies.
The client are migrating from Novell software, so any exposure to this software would also be a benefit.

The software upgrade include:

• Novell Netware to Microsoft Windows Server with Active Directory
• Current version of Windows to Windows 7 client
• Zenworks to SCCM
• Secure Logic to Forefront identity Manager
• McAfee Antivirus to Forefront EndPoint
• Office 2003 to Office 2010 (already using Outlook 2007 in Compatibility mode)

Ahead of the client migration, the service provider require training for their project team and second/third line support teams on the above in readiness for the upgrade and migration. There are around 10 delegates that will require training & this will be conducted in 2 groups to maintain service levels.

They do not require the full Microsoft accredited training on the products as they will not be responsible for implementing and configuring these technologies; rather they require to understand sufficient knowledge about the products so that they will;
• be able to support users on Windows Server, Active Directory and Windows 7
• be able to use SCCM for diagnostics, remote fix and installing software
• understand the relationship between Identity Manager and SCCM
• understand the basic differences between Office 2003 and Office 2010, primarily to recognise when user issues are related to this upgrade

Hands-on training is not required and training approach needs to offer an engaging presentation/discussion/demonstration to fast-track delegates understanding and comprehension of the above technologies.

If you meet the requirements and are intrested in the role then please reply back with your CV.
