Tri-lingual German / French / English Speaking Service Desk - Reading. Service Desk Representatives are the first point of contact for customers requiring technical telephone support & offer a prompt & professional call handling service to customers & support the Security Analysts, Senior Security Analysts & Security Consultants working on problem resolution. They must therefore ensure that customers have the correct expectations & that a ticket/change is monitored & progressed throughout its lifecycle, in accordance with the departmental procedures.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Offer a prompt, professional & pro-active call management service to customers in English, in addition to German & French.
• Ensure that 80% of telephone calls are answered within 20 seconds
• Maintain accurate, timely & succinct but sufficiently detailed call notes
• Validate customer’s support entitlement
• Raise & monitor cases with 3rd party vendors
• Provide information from cases to the management team where required
• Log calls onto the Helpdesk systems (Siebel & Remedy)
• Adhere to escalation procedures & call management processes
• Pro-active manage calls & maintain close liaison with Security Analysts, Senior Security Analysts & Security Consultants to ensure that customers are helped as effectively as possible
• Translate using English, German & French
• Collate information for departmental statistics where required
• Work closely with the other members of the Service Desk team & provide cover for colleagues as required

KEY SKILLS
• Excellent Telephone manner & communication skills
• Ability to work to laid down processes & procedures & raise any practical problems
• Ability to maintain ownership of problems & follow them through to completion
• Fluent in English, German & French
• Ability to understand technical terminology without necessarily having technical knowledge
• Excellent keyboard skills & good skill level in Microsoft Excel & Word

Extensive SQL Server development exposure is essential with significant projects from concept through delivery with high competency in the following areas:

Main Duties of this Position
- Design, implementation, test, integration and delivery of digital communication systems
- Development of VHDL for FPGAs in accordance with TRL procedures
